Magnificent Easter Saturday. No crowd, no waiting, no fuss!
Overall, 29 trails are still opem for the week-end. Beautiful conditions. Clearly, the ice/rain storm did not hit hard here. Despite the colder night, trails were in very good shape, still plenty of coverage. And, as the bright sun warmed the surfaces, all turns were made easier as the day went by.
Sun with all its might, warming just enough, not yet the super spring, wet granular and « pea soup » like surfaces, just perfect.
Perfect weather also to catch some rays between runs or at lunchtime.
It’s never too late in the season to make first turns on a bigger trail…
There is still enough snow to initiate the little ones to skiing in the woods.
Initially scheduled for today, the « Splash » event for those who want to try and make it across the « pool » has been moved to next Saturday (April 15th). Preparations are well under way for what should be a fun show, wtih hot dogs and beverages available outside.
Make sure you head on out after the Easter breakfast/brunch tomorrow, as temperature will rise up to + 8 degrees celsius and bright sunshine. Come enjoy it while it lasts. I know I did !
