Les Menuires – Great variety!

January 28, 2026 – Hello skiers,

For this new day in Les Menuires it was necessary to adapt to all weather situations. Clouds are present this morning in the Vallée des Belleville and light snow is announced all day, for an accumulation of 10 to 15 centimeters. Just enough to refresh the surfaces, already in excellent condition.

The challenge at high altitude during gray days is the lack of contrast on the snow ❄️ and the difficulty in reading the terrain. These flat light days, as we say here, also affect the balance of many. That said, we still take our courage with both hands to go and enjoy this magnificent domain, even under the clouds.

We started by going down to Le Bettex sector which is a little lower than La Croisette. The slope served by the same name winds a whole district of beautiful typical alpine residences. There is also a park for trailers and motor vehicles for those who would like to come and spend a few days there.

Le Bettex lift then takes us back to La Violette, just at the top of the Brelin where our apartment is located. It is actually a new way to return home without having to carry our skis in the elevator from La Croisette.

As the weather is still quite foggy at the base, we decided to go higher to check if the summit would not be above the cloudy cover. We started by climbing the Menuires chairlift and then went up to the top by the Mont de la Chambre. Our hypothesis was the right one! It’s much clearer at the top and the show is striking. The clouds are between the mountain peaks through a diffused light; it’s beautiful.

Throughout the day, the weather has passed from the sun 🌞 to the clouds, to return to the sun and… to cover itself permanently as the snow intensified. At the end of the afternoon we could see almost nothing, but that certainly did not prevent us from following our initial plan, that is, to end this day at the frenetic pace of music on the terrace of the famous Roc Seven, at the top of the Roc 1 lift.

It was with a feeling of satisfaction and a certain pride to have braved this uncertain time that we returned home, and this by a track that we did not know, the Boulevard Giraud. A long blue trail that starts from the Roc 1 base and takes you almost to Saint-Martin to take you back to Les Menuires. A very pleasant quiet route that gives a beautiful impression of freedom and immensity. To be skied without hesitation during your next visit.

So, a very nice day once again with a little more challenges than we had initially planned, but also with a lot of great surprises. We tell you all the time: you have to trust the mountain and show up every day, even the least promising no matter the weather, and it will always find a way to surprise you. This was definitely the case for us today.

Our ski stay in the 3 Vallées is coming to an end. We promised ourselves a little festive tour to also show you the very lively side of Les Menuires. Jack’s among others, on La Croisette, offers live groups every day from 4:00 to 7:00. We sing and dance to the sound of the music of yesterday. Today that visibly joins all generations. In Les Menuires you will find everything you need for the family stays, but believe us, you can also party there!

Some nights we dream that we are residents of the Vallée des Belleville, at the foot of the slopes… One thing is certain, we will come back to it again.

For your part, do not hesitate, the season is still long and come and see this absolutely wonderful domain. You have to see the Alps and the 3 Vallées in your skier’s !

Good skiing from Europe, and looking forward to telling you all these beautiful adventures in person.
