A good surprise here at the Mountain today, 15 cm of new snow over the last 24 hours !
After last week’s 2 storms, and this fresh new coating, it’s quite easy to be motivated to go out and play in the snow. And it showed today. I was not alone willing to enjoy this beautiful day, see the parking at the top of the picture, Lots of people showed up.
With all that snow, the mogul fields are in great shape, like pretty much all terrain you choose to explore.
In short, one doesn’t need too many words to describe these great conditions… great skiing and riding, great for alpine touring too ! Nice powdery surface, firm bases, no ice worth talking about.
Need I add that 100 % of the trails and woods are accessible. Below Snow park fans let it all out Great show !

Despite the full parking lots, not much waiting at the various lifts to talk about.
On the Orford side, here is the bottom of the « Grande Coulée » trail. Good conditions there too.
Hard to pick my Trail of the Day. Could not pick one in particular, as it was nice all accross the Mountain. High notes for Mont Orford today.

Tomorrow is looking to be exceptional. A few flurries should fall on the Mountain, and temperature will jump over the freeezing mark for the next few days, with a maximum expected at around + 2 or + 3 degrees for tomorrow, depending on the weather page you visit.
